300 BC – 640 AB

Astronomers , philosophers , mathematicians and other scientist come to the library of Alexandra Egypt.

1543 AD

Copernicus proposes the heliocentric theory- That the sun is at the center of the solar system.

1609 AD

Galileo conducts his famous experiments on the velocities of falling objects. He also confirms the heliocentric theory.

1687 AD

The apple falls on Newton’s head. He publishes Principia, which describes gravitation and laws of motion.

1738 AD

Bernoulli studies the behavior of gases, Puts forward his famous Bernoulli’s theorem.

1752 AD

Benjamin Franklin flies a kite and shows the world that lightning is a form of electricity.

1800 AD

Alessandro Volta invents electric battery.

1851 AD

Lord Kelvin puts forward the first two laws of thermodynamics.

1869 AD

Mendeleev draws out the periodic table of elements. He leaves gaps for elements to come – not present in the day. And later when these elements are discovered, they fit perfectly into the table.

1873 AD

Maxwell discovers that light is a form of electromagnetic radiation.

1885 AD

Carl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler begin the age of automobiles. They discover internal combustion engine.

1895 AD

Roentgen discovers X-rays and wins the first Novel prize in 1901!

1897 AD

Sub-atomic particles begin to discovered. Thomson discovers electrons in an atom.

1900 AD

Max Plank puts forward the quantum theory of matter.

1901 AD

Radio waves are sent across the ocean by Marconi.

1905 AD

The most revolutionary theory so far is put forward by a 26-year-old Albert Einstein -The theory of relativity.

1916 AD

Neils Bohr proposes a model of the atom based on Max Plank’s quantum theory.

1929 AD

The Universe is expanding! so say Edward hubble and he proved it too!

1938 AD

The nuclear age begins. Enrico Fermi builds the first nuclear reactor.

1945 AD

The first atomic bomb is dropped.

1951 AD

The age of computing begins with the first commercial computer being introduced.

1960 AD

LASER is invented.

1969 AD

Man takes hia big step in space exploration. Lands on moon!

1971 AD

Sand in computers! The Silicon chip is invented.

1977 AD

The first personal computer is introduced by Apple.

1986 AD

GPS or the Global Positioning System is introduced for commercial use.

1989 AD

Enter WWW! The World Wide Web is launched. It spreads slowly and then goes boom.
