Most of you have seen that when ever you see the images taken by astronauts or space telescopes from moon and from space there are no stars in the background! , The sky appears black and just the thing shown there like earth, nebulas, galaxies are seen.
Do you wonder why it is? Below is the answer.

No stars in image taken from space!

First you should know that even if you don’t see the stars in images if you go to space and see you will definitely see the stars all around. Then why is it that you don’t see same thing in images?

Well, it is mainly due to the intensity of light from star and the focus of camera.

Stars are very faint as the light from stars takes so long distance to reach us.
And no matter how sophisticated a camera it still has some limitations. Like as you don’t see stars in day , cameras need to be focused or set to a specific light and fainter than that light will appear black to camera and brighter than that will appear just white.

So camera is just focused to gain light from the source which is to be photographed and stars have very less brightness than the normal objects photographed from space. So camera cannot just gain the light from stars and it will not appear in image.

So thats why you don’t see any stars in background of photographs taken from space like image of earth from space shown above.
