The company was founded in 2005 as an Omnis Networks brand, and, in a short time, became a big name in the business with an affordable hosting solution for small businesses and individuals.

WebHostingPad operates out of a data center Chicago, IL, and uses Dual Xeon Intel servers equipped with RAID technology for backing up data.

WebHostingPad specializes just in one sector – shared hosting. Their most popular plan is the $1,99 one. For just $1.99 per month, you get a feature-rich package – a free domain name, unlimited hosting and monthly bandwidth, unlimited OP and IMAP Email and parked domains, mySQL Databases and spam protection.

Of course, there is a catch here – you get the $1,99 price only if you sign up for five years. If you sign up for one year, you will have to pay $3.99 per month.

There is also a Power Plan – for $3.99 per month, you will also get SSL Certificate, SSH Access, remote hands-on support and e-Commerce Features.

Customer Service

As most providers do nowadays, WebHostingPad offers 24/7 support. In most cases, they reply to support tickets within an hour (or less). They seem to be a web hosting company more concerned with human relationships than stealing an extra dollar out of their customers.

Uptime

WebHostingPad has very good uptime – 99.98%, according to the data gathered since December 2007. You won’t experience much down time with WebHostingPad.

Conclusions

If you are looking for a shared web hosting plan, you won’t find lower prices than WebHostingPad offers. Combined with good customer service and uptime, this makes WebHostingPad a pretty good option.
